Fresh made guacamole is absolutely delicious. The best part: it’s really easy to make! Avocados are super-healthy due to their high content of healthy monounsaturated fats, promoting heart health. Avocados are also known for their ability to lower cholesterol, to prevent macular degeneration and cataracts, and for their anti-aging properties. Lastly, avocados are great for cancer prevention.
- 1 Avocado
- 1 Tomato finely chopped
- 1/4 onion finely chopped
- 1 Small Jalapeno – finely chopped
- 1 Tbsp chopped cilantro
- Juice of 1 Lime
- Salt and Pepper to taste
Cut open the avocado length-wise. Separate the two halves and remove the pit. Using a fork in a shallow bowl or a mortar and pestle, mash the avocado up so that it is chunky. Mix the rest of the ingredients in with the avocado. Let the mixture remain slightly chunky. Serve immediately.
