Using the six principles of Pilates, Pilates aims at strengthening your body’s ‘Powerhouse’ (the center of your body, between your bottom ribs and the top of your pubic bone, including the abdominals and the lower back), in order to benefit the whole body. Originally used as a rehabilitation program for prisoners of war, Pilates was later found to be highly beneficial to those seeking a higher level of fitness.
